In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a man was swiftly taken to the hospital with severe injuries after being hit by a vehicle in downtown Toronto.
Reports from Toronto paramedics indicate that they responded to the incident at the intersection of Queen Street West and Portland Street just before 5:30 a.m. following reports of a pedestrian being struck. Emergency crews provided immediate treatment to the male victim on-site before transporting him to the hospital for further care of his serious injuries.

As of 6:18 a.m., Toronto’s traffic operations noted that all westbound lanes of Queen Street West at Augusta Avenue were closed due to the accident.
