Montreal Unveils Innovative Modular Housing Solution to Tackle Homelessness

Montreal inaugurates its second modular housing project, a collaborative effort to address housing needs for vulnerable populations. Situated in the city’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough, the project was realized through a partnership between the City of Montreal, the Government of Quebec, and Rue Action Prévention (RAP jeunesse), a community organization.

Various leaders, including Montreal Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada and Minister responsible for Housing Caroline Proulx, gathered for the inauguration to emphasize the collective approach taken in this initiative.

The modular homes aim to offer stable and adapted housing, alongside essential social and health services, to residents in need.
