Tragic Fatality at Flamboro Speedway: Worker Killed in Racetrack Incident, Hamilton Police Confirm

A tragic incident occurred at Flamboro Speedway on Saturday evening, resulting in the death of an employee, as confirmed by Hamilton police officers.

Reported on Sunday evening, emergency services responded to the racetrack on 5th Concession Road West in Flamborough at approximately 9:15 p.m. following the unfortunate event.

The official statement from Hamilton Police Service revealed that the worker sustained injuries during an accident on the track. No further information regarding the incident has been disclosed by investigators at this time.

The employee was swiftly transported to Hamilton General Hospital, where, sadly, they later passed away due to the injuries sustained.

Upon the arrival of collision reconstruction and forensics investigators, in addition to patrol officers, the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development was also notified and involved.

The Flamboro Speedway was holding a Christmas in July toy drive and a meet-the-drivers event, with the main race scheduled to commence at 6:30 p.m., featuring multiple races throughout the evening.
