A Toronto man who is accused of breaking into a North York synagogue earlier this week has been charged, according to authorities.
Investigators allege that 35-year-old Kayce Ranger broke into a synagogue near Bathurst Street and Lawrence Avenue in the early morning hours of August 18.
After making his way inside, detectives say he stole several religious items before fleeing the area.
Police executed a search warrant at a nearby residence the next day and recovered all of the stolen belongings.
Ranger was subsequently arrested and charged with break and enter, as well as failure to comply with a release order.
He was scheduled to appear in a Toronto court on August 20.
