An individual sustained injuries in a shooting incident in North York during Monday afternoon.
Around 3:30 p.m., Toronto police responded to reports of a shooting at Jane Street and Finch Avenue West.
Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot and promptly transported him to the hospital. Paramedics have indicated that the man’s injuries are severe.
At present, no details about the suspect have been provided.
As a result of the ongoing police investigation, the eastbound lanes on Finch Avenue West near Elana Drive have been closed. Additionally, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has announced the suspension of service on Line 6 Finch West between Norfinch Oakdale and Driftwood stations due to the police activity.
Currently, shuttle buses are being dispatched to accommodate affected passengers.
