A man, 47, was recently apprehended by Toronto police for allegedly assaulting a parking enforcement officer in the city’s vibrant Fashion District. The incident occurred near the intersection of Wellington and Portland streets just before 8:30 p.m. on a Tuesday evening.
According to detectives, the parking enforcement officer had just issued a parking ticket when the individual returned and proceeded to assault them repeatedly. Fortunately, the victim sustained only minor injuries and did not require extensive medical attention.
The suspect, identified as Rohan Hutchinson from Toronto, attempted to flee the scene but was swiftly apprehended at another location shortly after. Hutchinson has since been charged with four counts of assaulting a peace officer.
